How Many Cloth Diapers Do I Need?

It depends on what system(s) you decide to go with, but here's a guide:

Prefolds and Covers:
Prefolds - 2 to 3 dozen
Covers - 6 to 8
Snappis - 2
Doublers - 6 to 12 (may not be needed until baby is 3-4 months old and/or only at night)

Fitted Diapers and Covers:
Fitteds - 2 to 3 dozen
Covers - 6 to 8
Doublers - 6 to 12 (may not be needed until baby is 3-4 months old and/or only at night)

Rumpster Mini Diapers and Covers:
Rumpster Minis - 2 to 3 dozen if you are using this system exclusively or 2 to 3 diapers if you are using them only at night (for which these are excellent!)
Covers - 6 to 8 if you are using this system exclusively or 2 to 3 if you are using them as part of your nighttime system only.

Pocket Diapers:
Pocket Diapers - 2 to 3 dozen
Inserts - 2 to 3 dozen
Doublers - 1 to 2 dozen (may not be needed until baby is 3-4 months old, only at night or not at all)

All-in-One Diapers:
All-in-One Diapers - 2 to 3 dozen if you are using this sytem exclusively. For outings and occasional use, 3 to 4 are good.
